BEST of Missouri! 2004 Fine Art Exhibition

March 25, 2004 -- Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, USA -- The National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society is pleased to present the premier of an exciting new fine art exhibition, the BEST of Missouri! 2004.

This presentation of original paintings features the work of Missouri artists. The exhibit, which is free to the public, was presented for pre-view in the library gallery of the Lodge of Four Seasons resort. A subsequent venue opens at the Elizabeth Rozier Gallery, Jefferson City, on Tuesday, March 30 and continues until Saturday May 1.

This new statewide competition was juried by the NOAPSociety Missouri Jury Committee: chaired by nationally-known oil painter Max R. Scharf, including Susan Koplar Brown, owner of the Lodge of Four Seasons, and representatives from the Missouri State Museum. The works of art were chosen on the basis of quality and the individual artist's mastery of medium and expression without preference toward any particular subject matter, style, school or painting technique.

The awards are to be presented by Lori Hauser Holden, First Lady of Missouri, at a reception to be held on Wednesday, April 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Rozier Gallery, to which the public is invited.

The National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society is an alliance of exceptional artists showcasing outstanding works of art in oil and acrylic media. The organization's goal is the expansion of public awareness, knowledge and appreciation of fine art. The NOAPSociety is designated by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) public charity, eligible to receive tax-exempt grants, gifts, and donations. Artists and art patrons are encouraged to join and become a part of this valuable cultural experience.
