"We Are Gathered Here", work by ANGELA CAPPETTA, BEING FEATURED IN SOUTHEAST MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHY July 16, 2004 -- "We are Gathered Here", work by Angela Cappetta, is being featured in an upcoming show at the world famous Southeast Museum of Photography. Following her recent write up in Photo District News' "Top Knots" issue, Angela Cappetta is enjoying a continuing deluge of acclaim about her work. She proves that wedding photography, when properly executed and lovingly created, is no less legitimate an art form that photojournalism itself. For such a young, hip artist, her process is very classical; she hand processes everything, buys base elements and mixes her own chemistry, makes her own prints, both color and black and white, and uses absolutely no digital methods whatsoever. The proof of such painstaking methods is evident in her results. Her fine art work has been collected by the Corcoran Museum of Art, The New York Public Library and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Now her wedding work is taking center stage. |
