Sculpture and Paintings by Betsy Evans-Banks and Brian Banks
March 2, 2004--The gallery shows sculptures by Betsy Evans-Banks in clay and stone the latter being mostly in Alabaster, a wonderful transulent stone which, when highly polished has an extraordinary luminous quality. Her clay sculptures of the female form are either bisque fired or finished with bronze patina. Betsy's stone carvings show her remarkable craftsmanship in transforming a piece of rough stone into a beautiful unique form.
Brian Banks's paintings in watercolors, oils, and pastel depict scenes from his travels which include England, France, Italy and the United States. The originals and prints from the original paintings are available to purchase. Included in the site is instruction in watercolor painting for older people and those mentally challenged. Further painting techniques are planned and will be added to the site. Additional images of new works will also be added to the site as they become available.
The art pieces can be purchased directly from the artists.
